Top 10 Attractions at Disneyland, California

There are 50+ attractions/rides at the Disneyland park. Making a top 10 list is not that difficult. These are my favorites from Best to worst (Not really worst ..)

  1. Pirates of Caribbean: It is a big extravaganza from beginning to end and it will surely please and entertain everyone.
  2. Indiana Jones: It immerses guests into the world of the popular movie series through the use of Disney’s innovative Enhanced Motion Vehicles, highly elaborate sets, and a stunning array of effects.
  3. Space Mountain: This ride is almost completely dark except for small lights that simulate stars. It’s like flying through outer space. Added Star Wars effects include an intergalactic battle, but the best part is the Star Wars theme music playing as the ride takes off.
  4. Splash Mountain: Splash Mountain is a half-mile ride with five drops ending in a final, 52-foot, 45-degree, 40-mile-per-hour plunge.
  5. Haunted Mansion: Offering an ideal blend of whimsical characters and macabre delights.
  6. Big Thunder Mountain Rail Road: This rough and tumble ride over a southwestern mountains cape is a joyous trip the whole family can enjoy. With its dark caverns, intricate mining camps, and inexplicable dinosaur bones, gold mining has never been so much fun.
  7. Jungle Cruise: It’s not just sailing through lush landscapes and the backside of waterfalls that keeps guests coming back for more. Jungle Cruise is truly the only attraction that relies more on Disneyland’s charismatic cast members than the mechanics of the ride, making it that much more enthralling.
  8. Star Tours:  Disneyland’s original motion simulator remains one of the park’s more exciting attractions, thanks to its immersive 3D effects.
  9. Finding Nemo Submarine: Though the ride was retrofitted to a decades-old Tomorrow land attraction, actually being submerged while taking in the story of Finding Nemo is more transportative than you may expect. The low-key underwater journey is made enjoyable thanks to individual porthole-style windows, allowing everyone to have the very best seat on the sub.
  10. Buzz light year Astro Blaster: Though guests in this black light shooting gallery are intended to work as Buzz’s recruits to bring down Evil Emperor Zurg, it’s more a gleeful competition between passengers, gaining points from hitting targets while twirling two-seat vehicles around with a joystick.
